This unique Swahili house is located on the pristine white sands of Bofa beach, Kilifi. Built entirely out of local materials – makuti thatch, coral blocks, and Lamu floors, it boasts outstanding architectural and interior design. The white walls are accented with magnificent cedar and local neem giving this home a rustic, tropical feel. Adding to the effect is the lush tropical garden home to various species of birds and flora.
The focal point of this home is the open plan living/dining area which overlooks the freeform beach edge pool to the sea. This is where you’ll happily spend the majority of your time in this home, wiling away the hours reading a book from the house library filled with books for all ages and occasions. Also in this living/dining space is a tastefully designed bar perfect for fixing your sundowner drink to enjoy the magnificent sunset. The lush garden and open plan living/dining area make Bulloch House ideal for those who are interested in hosting events here. This space can easily be transformed to host up to 150 people with additional catering services to compliment the in-house services.
During your stay, the home is self catered and fully staffed. Dominic, the friendly head chef at the house, also manages all other household activities. Upon your request, Dominic can assist with menu ideas, kitchen supplies, and provide you with delicious meals day and night.
