The Bagamoyo Arts Festival is an annual extravaganza sponsored by The Bagamoyo College of Arts, fondly known as ‘Chuo cha Sanaa,’ which is Kiswahili for ‘School of Arts’. There is usually an array of exciting events, including mesmerising acrobatics, sculpture exhibitions, poetry readings, captivating traditional dance performances, and enthralling drama showcases, among many other enriching experiences. At the heart of this festival lies the noble mission to promote and support the immensely talented craftsmen, sculptors, artists and theatre groups of East Africa. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the region's rich arts and culture while providing a platform for local talents to shine.
