Held in Hoima at the Boma Grounds in Mbarara, this annual event celebrates the coronation anniversary of the Omukama (king) of the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom; one of the most powerful kingdoms in Uganda. They are still ruled under a monarchy and are a remainder of the Kitara empire which governed parts of Western Kenya, Northern Tanzania and Eastern Congo.
