The Nomad team had the pleasure of visiting Msambweni Beach House and Villas since their renovation in 2021. An easy 30 minute drive from Ukunda Airstrip, Msambweni Beach House and Villas is located on the quiet, secluded Msambweni beach.

From the moment you walk through the magical archway looking over the sea, your stresses of city life melt away. The warm and welcoming staff greet you with a welcome drink and you are debriefed on the hotel and it’s activities. Because Msambweni is somewhat isolated, the hotel offers a range of activities for guests from an informative village bike ride where you can learn about how they give back to the community to a whale shark excursion and much more.

The chefs at Msambweni Beach House and Villas are trained in French, Belgian, and Swahili cuisine. The food is fresh and seafood caught daily by local fishermen. We recommend spending one meal beachside with a beach dinner under the stars or a beach breakfast to watch the sunrise over the ocean. Whatever you decide, don’t miss out on cocktail hour around the beach bonfire, it’s a great opportunity to meet other guests staying at the hotel.
We loved our stay at Msambweni Beach House and Villas and look forward to returning one day!
