13 COTTAGES · ENSUITE · 3,000 ACRE CONSERVANCY

The property is located on a private conservancy of 3,000 acres just five minutes from Kimana Gate, along the eastern boundary of Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m). The lodge is an eco-friendly operation, set overlooking a waterhole, with fantastic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and a steady flow of wildlife including the epic elephant herds visiting through the day and night . An oasis in the dry landscape of the Amboseli region, relax in the cool, lush gardens of the lodge.

Tawi Lodge consists of 13 en-suite cottages all situated to face Mt. Kilimanjaro. Each cottage has its own wooden-deck veranda and a fabulous view of the highest mountain in Africa, even from the comfort of your bed or your bathtub.

Spend your days exploring one of the most unique landscapes in Kenya, as you take a guided nature walk, bird walks, day/night game drives, camel walks and bush meals. Before and after dinner, relax by the campfire, or at our very special “mobile” bush bar. Listen to the magical sounds of the savannah under the spectacular African sky where the stars seem brighter than anywhere else.

SETTING

A 3,000 acre private conservancy, only a ten minute game-drive from Amboseli National Park. Tawi is set in the shadows of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the views are breath-taking and out of this world! A splendid escape.

WHY WE LOVE IT

The Amboseli landscape is like no other in Kenya, from dusty dry lake beds to green luscious swamps and epic Mount Kilimanjaro. The scenery and animals of Amboseli are very unique. Get up close and personal to herds of gentle giants and iconic elephant bulls.

TENTED COTTAGES

Tawi has 13 gorgeous, spacious cottages with views looking up at Mt. Kilimanjaro. All are ensuite with a bath and a shower. Two of the cottages are joined by the extending veranda, so perfect for a family.

ACCESS

Amboseli is very easy to get to either via road, train or air. Only a four drive from Nairobi, it’s a great way to see the country. Jump on the SGR from Nairobi, stopping at Emali, here you can picked up by the lodge. Or daily flights leave from Nairobi & the Maasai Mara, landing at Amboseli Airstrip.
