At the foothills of Mt. Kenya, this double storey house, is set in vivid tropical flowerbeds with expansive lawns. Mukima House has 8 ensuite bedrooms, a games room, a large kitchen with a store, laundry room, cloakroom, drawing room, dining room, a generous entrance hall and an upstairs gallery.
There is a first floor open terrace, perfect for sundowners while watching the white egrets fly home to roost on the dam against the backdrop of the mountain and the African dusk. Just as stunning on the clear mornings is the sunrise, which silhouettes the mountain in soft pink and blue. The front of the house has a large, wrap-around veranda, used for daytime dining. The rooms are comfortably furnished with local, Lamu, and imported Indonesian pieces, which all combine well and compliment the formal aspect of the house.

The only area that will be off-limits is the private gardens, pool, and tennis court of the main house. You are also welcome to row on the dam and make the most of their spectacular bird watching and other game that live on the estate such as Bush Buck, Reid Buck, Duiker, White-Tailed Mongoose, Porcupine, Claw Foot Otters, Eland and more.

Cedar Retreat is in the Northern Moorlands of the Aberdares National Park & is the only wildlife adventure lodge in the Northern part of the famed and magical Aberdare National Park. With beautiful Rustic Log Cabin styling, and organic architecture which intertwines into the tranquil surroundings , blending perfectly with the untouched Cedar forest in which it is hidden – and the moorlands beyond.
In the 6 log cabins, each accomodating 2 people each (with the option of a triple), you have all the creature comforts you would need at the retreat – a hot shower in the en suite bathroom and water jars provided daily. There are 4 cabins with double beds, and 2 cabins with twin beds. Kids bed and triples are accomodated on portable camping beds.

Neem House is a beautiful Swahili architectural house is surrounded by numerous large Neem, Palm, and Fig tree situated on a coral outcrop catching the ocean breeze. Breathtaking sunset and sunrise views can be enjoyed on the property or from the roof terrace and you are only 350m from the beach.
Neem House sleeps a maximum of 12 people, perfect accommodation for family groups on holiday. There are four bedrooms, three are en suite. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the other two rooms have huge traditional Pili Pili beds. The Pilis can be separated into 4 singles. There are 7 singles beds in total(4 in the Lamu room which are not suitable for small children and 3 in the annexe/small lounge off the master bedroom). All rooms have overhead ceiling fans and large walk in mosquito nets. The main bedroom has a large veranda with private seating area and three single beds- ideal for families with small children.
