Day 1 - Entebbe, Uganda - Boutique beginnings
Arriving into Entebbe, a bustling city on the shores of Lake Victoria, settle into No 5 Boutique hotel for the first night and find your feet with a 15 minute walk to the beach. Along the way, support local artisans at the lively market offering Ugandan crafts like textiles and beaded jewellery.

Day 2 - Papa's Camp, Uganda - Secluded luxury
Head off to your first remote luxury camp with five en-suite tents nestled among fig trees along the River Nile in Murchison Falls National Park. Settle into the spacious dining tent and rustic firepit, looking across the river to spot hippos and crocodiles before the following day's activities.

Day 3 - Papa's Camp, Uganda - Wildlife awaits
After a restful night, set out for your first expansive game drive and Nile fishing excursion in the national park with private access to untamed wilderness. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, giraffes and hippos, while bird enthusiasts should look out for raptors and storks.

Day 4 - Papa's Camp, Uganda - All aboard
For your last day at this secluded camp, head out for a bush walk with expert guides who know just which wild creatures to look for and where to find them. A boat trip to Murchison Falls will bring spectacular views before you come back to camp for your final dinner under stars.

Day 5 - River Station, Uganda - Watering hole
Make your way to the Kyambura Wildlife Reserve where you'll stay on a bluff above the Kazinga Channel. Enjoy breakfast with a view as the elephants cool down at the nearby watering hole, and take a moment for yourself in one of the lodge's 10 rooms, all with private plunge pools.

Day 6 - River Station, Uganda - Trek time
Set off on your first trek to track chimpanzees in the Kyambura Gorge, following your guides closely to experience proximity to these wild creatures. Rest your legs on a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, casting your gaze across the savanna, rolling hills and saline lakes with flamingos.

Day 7 - Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Uganda End
Your next lodge brings you closer to the seven habituated gorilla families that live a short drive from this intimate retreat on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Established 20 years ago on Nteko Ridge, private stone cottages look out over the Virunga Volcanoes and Great Rift Valley.

Day 8 - Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Uganda
Trek through dense undergrowth to get close up with majestic gorillas. Park rangers guide you safely with minimal impact to spend a precious hour in the presence of the protected species. The national park protects 400 mountain gorillas and is among the most biologically diverse areas on earth.

Day 9 - Homeward bound
With that epic sendoff, say goodbye to your new forest friends and make your way back to Entebbe for your international departure.
