Inside Milima House

Twenty minutes from Naivasha Town, close to tourist attractions yet still within the peace and quiet of the bush lies Milima House. Milima House is set up with two houses, a main house and a smaller cottage that sleeps two. The property is family run and therefore has friendly family pets: both cats and dogs. The property sleeps six guests comfortably and therefore is ideal for families or small groups of friends.

The main house has an upstairs bedroom with canvasing on all sides giving it a a safari-style feel with a large king size bed and amazing views. There is an upper deck (indoors) that has two single beds and is ideal for kids ranging from six years old and upwards.

The last bedroom is in a cottage on the same property with a king size bed and it’s own ensuite outdoor bathroom. The outdoor bath is great for stargazing and a romantic set up great for couples. The cottage has tea and coffee making facilities but the kitchen is in the main house.

The ground floor in the main house is a huge open plan space with a bathroom and kitchen that has all the requirements for the adventurous cook and indoor seating with a fire place.

Outside the main house is a large verandah that looks over the pool area. The verandah has all the amenities for outdoor living including a fabulous BBQ lovingly nicknamed “The Smoke”. Guests of the property have exclusive use of the pool.

The neighbourhood is quite wild with buffalo and other animals roaming around. Walking, particularly in the evening, is not advised unless under supervision by somebody on the property who knows the area well. There are house staff who can advise you on cycling opportunities around the property.

Milima House is a great city escape where you can relax and unwind with family and/or friends.
