Located at Kenya's only Private Island Resort, the Sands at Chale Island is 10km south of Diani Beach and 600 meters from the mainland. Chale Island is a mystical fusion of Nature, Comfort, Elegance and Romance. A perfect blend of Swahili-style Architecture, Italian Stucco works, Antique Lamu furniture, African art and varnished mahogany characterises the hotel. Complimentary wireless internet is available throughout the hotel. Chale Island uses electricity generators to supply energy. In order to be environmentally conscious, all rooms are supplied with power between 6 pm and 10 am. Exceptions are the Penthouses, Suite on the rock, Overwater Suite and the Public areas, including the bars, restaurants and reception which have power 24 hours a day. A Spa and Wellness Center sits on the edge of the Island?s Mangrove Forest, offering a range of massage treatments and pampering sessions in a Tranquil Natural Environment.
