This retreat seamlessly blends traditional African comfort with ambitious conservation initiatives. Nestled within the lush Kibwezi Forest, adjacent to Chyulu Hills National Park, the lodge provides guests with an opportunity to immerse themselves in a pristine habitat celebrated for its diverse range of birds, butterflies and other wildlife.

Guests enjoy exclusive access to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's (SWT) Umani Springs Reintegration Unit, offering a firsthand glimpse into the organisation's efforts in rescuing and raising orphaned elephants. The construction of this property was facilitated by a legacy bequeathed to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, exemplifying a commitment to fostering a better future for the Kibwezi Forest and its inhabitants.

Umani Springs adopts a self-catering approach, allowing guests to structure their stay according to personal preferences. Positioned on the outskirts of the Kibwezi Forest, each of Umani Springs' three-bedroom units imparts a sense of a private oasis, featuring a combination of queen and twin beds and accommodating up to ten individuals across the property.

The heart of the property is the spacious living and dining area, offering a communal space for guests to convene. The expansive deck provides a serene vantage point overlooking the Umani glade and amenities such as a lagoon pool and green lawns cater to relaxation and recreation.

The experienced and attentive staff ensures discreet service, prioritising the well-being of guests and providing comprehensive information about Umani Springs and the surrounding forest.

Umani Springs comes fully equipped with a trained chef, waiters, room stewards, and guides. The well-appointed kitchen boasts a generous fridge and freezer, a cooker and oven, a gas BBQ and an ice cream maker.

Powering the camp is solar electricity and a backup generator, ensuring continuous access to lights and power outlets day and night.
